Into the ancient verdant wood,
the little child did go,
away from the village one night,
the black sky threatening snow.
Body shaking and fingers numb,
she beheld a brilliant sight,
a cottage with windows lit,
beckoning in the cold night.
Once inside, she saw on a table-
three bowls of porridge steaming,
'Piping hot and ready for me,
Golly, I must be dreaming!'
She made quick work of the first bowl,
'Bit cold,' she sighed with a frown,
the second was much too hot,
but the third one she gobbled down.
It wasn't too hot or too cold,
'Perfect,' she said, quite impressed,
going off in search of a bed,
'I'll just lie down for a quick rest.'
Into the sitting room she went,
and she sat, quite unaware,
the furry thing was no cushion-
but a sleeping papa bear!
She screamed and he bit off her head,
then with a snip and a snap,
he gobbled up the young girl,
and quietly went back to his nap.

The Russians already made the best version of Little Red Riding Hood- The wolf eats the grandma right there, but being a clean, neat wolf, he puts the leftovers away in the cupboard. Red Riding Hood wants a snack and unwittingly eats her grandma's flesh and drinks her blood, thinking it's ham and juice.
