Lovely Bound

The words you told me
Got to my mind.
BUT the sentence you said
Was only lied.
I never believed
In things you did.
BUT I only pulled through
Cause love was lit.
I was bound by love
involuntarily.
BUT they all said we matched
So precisely.
I had no idea
How to end it.
BUT sooner than later
I gave the hint,
And the 'love' we shared
Was finally bent.
BUT I could not break loose
Of the feeling
That all was worth it;
Part of maturing.

Author notes

This poem is about a former love of mine. I had hard times when this all took place, tho it is not shown in this poem.
but it gives a brief description of how it all was...

You used the same background as someone else in this contest, but the both of these poems have such different meanings even though it's the same format. I think it's beautiful how unique this is.

Nicely spoken words. It lets us see inside your thinking, feeling and maturing. Wonderfully put.
