Spooky creatures of all sizes and shapes will haunt
And taunt
All because they want
Candy, sweets, and ghoulish delights
Ghosts, Witches, and lions oh my
As they walk by
Ever so sly
They creep by
I run to my home
Where I am no longer alone at home
Ding, Dong the doorbell rings
I thought ghouls with wings
But instead and ladybug with wings
I realize Halloween is evolved to happy day
Instead of decay
Of the dead day
Ghouls and Creeps scare no more
When they come knocking on my door
I know what is in store
Knocking at my door

Thank you for your entry
For a spur of the moment poem, it is very good. Some editing would be good though. In your line "But instead and ladybug with wings" I think you meant 'an' instead of 'and'. Also you didn't need to repeat Home in your third stanza. Otherwise good job.
Thank you for entering. Good luck in the contest and thank you for following the rules.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment

Happy Halloween and God Bless
