It's amazing how through it all;I can still feel you breath
How your lips part and your diaphragm grows smaller
Your eyes focus on my lips and you wait and just take another breath
Our breathing thickens, your smile grows; Still I remember our moments
The sun always seemed to come up too soon
and our laughter filled your room; Just like paradise
We would melt into one feeling, emotion, knowing
How close we were to being forever
I can remember your scent;Dark, boyish, and wonderful
It filled me so everyday when you wrapped your arms around me
How can I forget the essence of who you were
So young and stupid; We both were
How could we be so stupid?
And yet I would never regret
Every second we had together

essence.

Wow. This is one of the best and deepest poems I've had the pleasure of reading in a VERY long time. Great intensity and good word choice. I could smell him too. ^__^ Simply beautiful and utterly elegant in it's own right. Keep penning poems like these!
