Why Not Love

I sailed the seven seas

Flown around the world

I've found hate at every turn

But love is in the air

And people they still want it

Give them time, they'll turn around

People want to be happy

A good life for their children

A chance to make a difference in the world

People still want peace

From dictators and from war

A quite place to call their own

They want to learn more

Expand the world they know

And even make it big one day

They all have dreams

The young the very old

I hope they find their dreams one day

    Wonderful write

Very well said indeed, you've done an excellent job putting this together. I know in my heart they will have it one day. Young and old. This reminds me of something I was reading in the Bible last night. Ecclesiastes 3:1-9 to every thing there is a season. A time to hate, a time of war and a time of peace. What profit is does he have that labor. Those who labor in war will see peace and dreams come true. In Gods time. Sorry I love these verses they helped me so much when my own life seems hopeless. I know many tears will be shed and hearts will be broke wide open during the search for dreams but I truly believe peace will come in terms that will allow the pursuit of happiness for all as nation, the Iraqi Nation. God bless you all who are over there to lend a helping hand. No matter what the position. Sorry to ramble.

    EXCELLENT POEM

I am glad you wrote this poem my friend. There is not enough said about all the good you and so many others are sacrificing for so others can live in peace and find their dreams as we do here. I am so tired of election politicing and bashing our Predsident and our awesome and brave soldiers and civilianns who do so much good. God Bless you all. I can not say enough how proud I am of you. You have surly earned my respect. You take care of yourself and know there are many who support what you do. Okay soap box is going away. Love ya, Sandy
