He viciously pours his pain into her
Toxic waste in her diamond-studded glass
Acid rain pours, eroding her porcelain smile
Melting it slowly, dripping into a frown
She prays to her God, who doesn’t hear
For he abandoned his beloved children for power
Worshipping granite, she breathes to engrave
Her name, chiseled away from cold grey stone
Andrea Stewart, 1990 to 2005
His acid rain, it burns its own acrid inscription
“Even in death, baby you’ll always be mine”
Screaming in unholy terror she gnaws at her chains
Desperate frenzy in struggle to free from
Iron for which only he holds the key
Bound to her fear, bound by her love
Naivety her folly, her one damning choice
How did she think that he would ever change?
Eternal damnation, the Hell of her making
Sliding down with the pain that he fed her
The epitome of agony, she calls to be saved
But only silence rises to greet her pleas
Crashing onto the granite slab she once worshipped
Her life’s blood staining the inscription
“Till death do us part, my darling”
My death tore us apart, my love
But only yours will vindicate me
Author notes
The person is fictional. I know no Andrea Stewart with those birth and death dates. But I do love this one.

^^^very strong^^^
I usually hate reading poems that are not formatted with several stanzas.. but then again I have OCD... so... yeah.... anyway. I REALLY like this and am surprised it has gotten no attention. You seem to be a great story teller if anything, I'm very impressed.

"My death tore us apart, my love
But only yours will vindicate me"
... would be a great epitaph ..
