Heavenly is my dear sweet niece
Eclectic is her every piece
Adorned by poets far and wide
Resplendent is her heart inside
Today I offer up my words
Ostensibly felt, not just heard
For you I give the gift of love
And sunny rays from up above
Cheery and bright, my wishes true
Inside my heart I give to you
Rest assured that I'm always here
Close to your side, your auntie dear
Loved by the family you encircle

Deb, Thank you once again for another applause and such lovely words for me. They are very humbling.
Laura is a sweetheart and recently changed her page so she decided to start over with her poems. We also did a collab not too long ago about friends. Although I haven't met her, I know that it would be an honor and a joy to do so. I can't wait to get to Fla. again.

Brian, Thank you very much for the applause and the colorful comment. It was more like 6 minutes and I just edited it now because the darn system was acting up so much. I realized I used "Enchantment" twice and I don't like to do that.
Acrostics are so fun to do and it was the first form type of poetry that I learned. You can do so many different styles with them. I'm very happy that you enjoyed this piece. Love ya my friend, Joyce

makes me think of my own niece, and I hope she knows just how much I love her..
I think this would make a wonderful christmas gift in a beautiful frame, a keep sake..
