~~ Fantasy~~

Missing image
Gossamer fairies fly in golden dust
Unicorns carry a Prince where they must
Rainbows hold treasures in bright color pots
Clouds are mystical, there are lots
Leprechauns dress in shades of green
They hide beneath clovers and can't be seen
Tooth fairy's flutter over our beds
Sleeping children dream, treasures in heads
Dragons all colors, on ledges they play
Knights in armor look for them to slay
Castles with towers reach up to the sky
Where jilted Princess's go to cry
Wizards use toads to cast a spell
Witches in black peer in pots and see hell
Jack Frost traces patterns on windows and glass
By roadsides in gardens see gargoyles made of brass
Fantasy holds us, we like to take chances
Our heads they do spin our mind in trances~

    Excellent

Susan...Enjoyed this whimiscal poem. So light, so delightfully rhymed. All your images would please any child or any adult...for that matter. You are truly a gifted poet who writes with the soul of innocence; and yet you have such blessed insight into the human heart. ***Ivy Rose

A Veritable smorgasbord of fantastical imagery!!!Although----- I myself prefer the reference to white and healing witches as to witches with Black pots and associated with hell........... but , hey - - - it fit with the stereo typical imagery!!!! Good one, I like it, I like it!!!!

I like this one. It brings me back to the fairy tales of my childhood. One memory I have in particular though, funny as it sounds, is watching the March of the Wooden Soldiers with Laurel and Hardy. LOL...don't know why this poem conjurs up pictures of that but it does. A very good write. Thanks! - SG

What a treasure you have written here, Susan. I read it to my son and he said "WOW" LOL... but you could see the wheels in his head were trying to imagine all the playful pictures you have painted in this one piece.
