Rain

Sitting here on a park bench,
Contemplating the meaning of life.
Sitting in the pounding rain,
Listening as the sky falls down.

Feeling melancholy and depressed.
Sitting in the falling rain.
Not feeling the drops of water,
Soaking into my hair and clothes.

Not hearing the rain on the leaves.
Letting the rain plaster my hair down,
Spiking my lashes, dropping down like tears,
Pooling into puddles on the pathway.

Sitting in the rain washed park,
Observing and contemplating the world.
Getting wet as the heavens pour down,
Resolving nothing, only getting wet.
