Bubbles,
(not to be confused
with troubles)-
are round smiley giggles
that must come up for air
Swimming
till you are amused
and brimming,
float out and wiggles
with hopes to land somewhere.
Lip corners pointing up
Till the mouth forms to a cup
Flip-flops,
from hilarity
'til one pops-
They're way too quick
And just briefly stick
so keep your eyes up close
till you snicker silly
There'll be smiles to spare
then
My goodness! Laughter’s everywhere!

You've been Hood-winked!!!
I absolutely adore this piece! Being a mother and having been asked so many times to explain a bubble, I found this piece to be wonderfully descriptive and humorous. I'll read this one again to my daughter who is 21 mos. when she wakes and see what she thinks about it!
Loved it!

~Lori

really really good, says my 5 year old boy.
i read this out to my child and he giggled to himself, he loved the whole poem, and ants me to say 'A big well done for this clever lady'.
I enjoyed this piece myself, i applaud your work.
-
It was a prety nice poem. I liked it. I like bubbles.
-
I found your poem, "Bubbles" a delight. Children can see and feel what bubbles are even if they have never experienced them before. I hear playful giggles in a tub full of bubbles and babes! Well done! Writeright(sherry)

You must be as silly and jolly as I am re: children. Thank you! Glad you're enjoying some of my collection. This one is included in my picture books

Who would have thought to write a poem on bubbles?? Creative. This shows the wonder and imagination of a child. Children love to watch bubbles. I think you captured that fascination.
-
I love bubbles! they are so fun to pop and play with. I felt silly as I sat here reading your pome it made me think of earlier today with my friends with a big bottle of bubbles and wands making large super bubbles then running around trying to pop them.

Full of bubbly smilling faces GOOD WRite
So very true. Bubbles tickle your nose and laughter comes bubbling our. I liked this backround to. I just would like to see you use the Rich instead of plain.
In this way you could bring your poem out in front and we could read it better.
You could always put a bubble or two in your rich prose. If we use it more and people see it or we train how to use it - more people will become Umbers!
God is blessing you!

Hhaha...glad to see a Teacher here. It flatters my use of words. Last October, my father who was a teacher/administrator for 34 years plus, passed away and so I remember all the wonders of the profession. You are blessed! Thank you for your read and interesting comment! Warmly, CookieZeal

Such a cute way of portraying the cheer to be found in a fest of bubbles. It really was very nicely put together into a theme that any child would love to hear. Creating for children in such a way is really wonderful Cookie. I can imagine my mother reading something just like this to my nephew, Jack. He'd be taking it all in like candy.
A delightful, well structured, cheery flowing piece of work.
::smiling after this one for sure... going to run mahself a bubble bath to encourage smiling all the more::

This was a very cute, fun poem, definitely brightened my day. As another comment said, you don't see many happy poems. Personally, I think they're harder to write, at least for me, but judging by yours they're definitely worth it. Good poem!
-
A lovely poem. Brought a smile to my face. Blowing bubbles was not one of my favourite past times as a child but after reading your poem, I feel like doing so.
-
God likes it / I like it
Great piece for children of all ages, what could be cuter than mischevious bubbles and you weave it all together with such charm, rhythm and rhyme. Thanks for your comment on "Meaning", I am an old geezer and occasionaly I question things that I always took for granted and never thought much about. Is that what they call the wisdom that comes with age? hahahaha. jean -
I love it, I think it will be wonderful for a childen's book

Ahhh! Children and bubbles go hand in hand! Love this whimsical write, and you did a great job with it. Wow! Children need to read your poetry, they really need to. Have you purchased a "Poet's Market" yet? You're bound to get out there; I just know it! Love and hugs to you, and lots of tiny bubbles!

Ahhh... this is adorable... i love children's poetry, and my kids both love to read it too... my son makes up words for his poems, then tells me... but you said "poetry can be anything"... including his made-up words. I said, yes, you're absolutely right, anything you want it to be :-)
Jack Prelutsky and Shel Silverstein are entertaining reads for kids :-)
I went to my daughters classroom last year and we spent a few hours reading and writing poetry. Kids write the cutest poetry... lol
"bubbles" is a great idea, very good poem, enjoyed this :-)

Adorable. So cute and lively. Children will love it. I love it.
Now I'll head out the door to my class with a big smile across my face. Thanks, you made my day.

So that's a cute poem indeed. I enjoy reading most of your works, wish I had time to read them all but i'll get around to it... May I ask that you read Poetic Tears my newest poem thank you
-
Excellent! Delightful poem!
Really enjoyed this! I recently bought a bottle of bubble stuff and included were blowing devices that gave you several options as to how your bubbles would form, etc. I had a good time with it, but my cats were afraid of the bubbles..(I was disappointed...I was hoping to see them paw at them and watch them pop as they did).
I'm still a child at heart (and I'm happy to see that you and several others are, too!) This is a wonderful poem for children (of all ages)!

Bubbles bubbles everywhere!!! I loved playing with bubbles and stuff as a kid... My mum used to do this thing with paint and washing up liquid in a bowl and you blew through a straw into the stuff and made bubbles then caught the bubbles on a piece of paper to make a picture! anyone else do that???
Brings back fond memories this one! Love it!
Love Hayles x -
Lovely, light poem - musical images, tripping rhythm, and it looks so 'light' on the page too. Really enjoyable.
-
What a wonderful way to look at bubbles! lol, I must tell my two little ones that they will love the connection, but maybe not as much as I do. Thanks for that very interesting thought. Well done.
-
Excellent and uplifting
Very cute Cookie remember the time we got lost with your sis and brother LOL man did the bubbles bust all over us both in laughter.
Love,Sherry -
Adorable
Hello
This is an adorable piece you have written. The magic of bubbles..here on second, gone in an instant, but a treasue to behold by a child. As I read I could remember when I was a child, and the bubbles of my childhood, you have stirred pleasant memories in me, and for that I thank you

Sweet
Dianne, what a refreshing write! I love laughter and fun and friends and freedom ... And yes, sometimes when I laugh my bubbles may cause troubles, because these bubbles may be inapropriate!
Thank you for making me giggle.
Warmest Regards, Myra -
Thumbs up and lots of hugs!
This is really sweet...Darianna x
