twenty-second street, fourth floor

A living hell,
        hues of orange and red;
        flames, consuming
        memoirs of blissful years.
        The blazing inferno,
        overwhelming the few remnants.
        Burning flesh combines with shrieks,
        smoke induces coughing,
        onlookers, firefighters alike weep
        for the tiny dark haired girl
        now among the ashes, deceased.

    Brilliant writing

    Very very sad piece of writing here. The images this brings are horrific. But so well-written. I cannot applaude as I have run out for today. But will say that this is a terrific piece.
