plague of sorrow

the dreams that she had
vanished long ago
when a plague of sorrow
took over her life
she tried to escape but soon found out
that she was too far in to see the light
she lived in the night stalking the happiness
that she wished could be hers.
Her skin became pail and her eyes wide
blood fell form her wrists and hit the floor
cursing this poor girl even more
she wondered through the night trying to find someone
who shared her pain, someone to kill someone to blame
years passed and she became sparse.
food had lost its taste years before
it seemed to her a lifetime before she found the one
who could understand the one who could take her
bleeding hands
he picked her up an inch from death
and took in a made her see the sorrow could be cured with just a little love and a strong hand to hold
