A hard travel up a hill.
But trying is my only hope
So I'll let my heart overspill
The hate that built up in me
Hardened as a brick wall
And if I tried to break it
"Failure" never ceased to be the call.
Bitterness, thick as the ocean is wide
Yet, I know not where I fell
Yet love, or so I've been told,
Could break the oldest spell.
So I learn to love in hate.
Love-despite the bitterness
And turn away and run to Christ
Where I can find pure joy and happiness.
Forgiving and forgetting
Is much more harder than said
But the results will far out number
The pain and regret ahead.
Author notes
Many things in life I think would simply be easiest to secaoce pain if we would only let go. Yet, everyone is humane and we tend to hold things ion our hearts and brains and let them turn to bitterness. I can honestly say that I have done that many times, and the only cure, is to forgive, forget, and love in return.
Maybe it might be a friendship that went wrong, or a parent that turned on you, but the best cure is to love them. I hope you enjoy.
