When I Don't See You

I smell like you;
My clothes, my hair, my skin...
My pores are impregnated with your scent,
Freshly sweet, salty, lustful.

My eyelashes are drenched in drops of love,
For my body yearns to be with yours still.

I hear your whispers and feel your breath against my ear,
For I long to listen to your voice one more time again.

I taste you on my lips, even after so long,
For I ache to share myself with you, between sheets, in the raw.

Yet I smell like you;
Your clothes, your hair, your skin...
My pores impregnated with your scent,
Faintly sweet, salty, lustful.

    Thank you fo ryour comment on my poetry. When I first wrote that one, I was thinking about my other poems. How I write things that no one else will fully understand, but how it helps me cope.
