I love my heavenly sleep.
Love it when it’s blissfully deep.
But when the lunatic alarm goes “beep”!
I just want to sit and weep.
I love a good, soothing nap.
Love it on my mother’s lap.
But when my mom and dad begin to yap,
I really want to yell “horse crap!”
I love a good repose.
Love it when I sit and doze.
But when I wake up 'cause of TV shows,
I want to hand it a few blows.
I love a calming rest.
Love it when I’m really stressed.
But when my mom has a house guest,
I almost get a cardiac arrest.
