Wondering how I'll spend all the falls of my life
Without you to catch me.
Is your smile really so perfect as all of that?
Are your eyes as deep and clear, fixed only on me?
Was I dreaming the dream that a lifetime of wishing created?
Or were you there, are you there still, outside the loop of my pride?
I miss you desperately, but calmly,
Because the missing has become a part of me.
The absence of you is knit into the cable of me
The longing for you has eased but is with me and is shaping me.
I would rather be shaped by your strong arms around me.
I have never been one to play games
Life is too short not to grasp and savor what you love
Love has me wanting to put "u's" in words that end in "or", English boy,
And put the "u" in me that I know would stay for a lifetime.
My hands strays to the phone that has joined us so often
A few short moments and my words could intrude into your life
Ask if you think I am still the woman of your dreams
Tell you I know you are the man of my reality.
You are the answer to my questions and the end of my sentences.

Such sweet and tender thoughts! Your words are so touching

Jeannie, thank you so so much for the response and understanding. It has been hard to write anything lately, though I have been reading and trying to interact for when the urge resumes. The time may not yet be right for he and I, if it ever will happen. I just have to trust that what is meant to be (as we always thought we were) will be. Right now there is silence not imposed by me this time. Thanks again and have a wonderful day.

WOW, this is awesome. So much emotion and pain you have flowing from your heart. This is a truly incredible write. I wanna go get him and bring him to you! I don't feel there is any right way or wrong way when we write from the heart. Just let it flow. The ending is just perfection.
Jeannie

in this one:

Corazon, just a little joke between lovers, my love is English and he writes "saviour" or "favour" where we in the US leave out the "U" but it is hard for me to leave out the "u" since being with him, I see it even if I don't write it. lol. Thanks for reading and the kind comment.
-

These lines are just heartbreaking, they say so much more than just reading them from a page. I feel your pain, it come through so deeply in language. Thank you for sharing this with me. -
minoomalik, thank you for reading and for that amazing comment. Lots of food for thought. You are quite right, I keep us apart at this point, my fear and I. Thanks again.

Calling it an affair is being disrespectful to your love, it's love no matter how far away you are in miles or age, it's the not the distance that keeps you apart, it's yourself that makes it seem far away. Love is painfully beautiful where we need to experience the pain before we gain. Good Luck & hope everything works out for you...just don't let anyone or anything stop you not even you yourself :-)

I really enjoyed reading this. I love the phrase man of my reality. That's awesome.

sometimes it just becomes a habit we dont want to stop....interestingly the only one who wins is the telephone company then again if the love is real he will want you as much as you want him. It will find a way if not it perhpas was not meant to be or maybe you have found a really true friend who will be there stand by you but for whatever reason may not be able to love you just yet. There may be circumstances beyond his control and until they are removed a friend you will have to be. I wish you well hope it all works out and love will win in both your hearts.
brilliant write well crafted....thank you for the post a pleasure for the read.

excellent
this piece hit me in a very personal way so i may have a bit of a biased opinion about it.though it does make me feel a touch gay to admit having such feelings about my own personal situation that has passed few years ago i still carry it with me each and every day.this was such a beautiful piece and that first part--wonering how ill spend all the falls of my life without you to catch me--is just so perfect.im completely taken by this piece. -
Thank you for reading and the comments, it's a real life love affair, he just lives across the ocean and there are many years between us as well as miles. Thanks for the encouragement.
