Holding hands two lovers stroll
Through the essence of fall's soul.
Leaves crunching beneath their feet
In this valley so discreet;
Where on the breeze one leaf glides,
Flowing like the soothing tides,
'Till this gentle wind subsides.
They walk in each other's arms
Reveling in this sites charms;
And they breathe in the cool air
As in their eyes they declare
Their undying love so true,
That fills them with thirst anew
Such that they can not subdue.
One kiss and they're on fire
With a burning desire;
They make love among the leaves
With lust neither one believes.
Then as they lay in this peace,
After such a sweet release,
They feel serenity increase.

I like this rhyming style and it works to build through your tale. Very nice, very artistic touch. Thanks for entering.

I like the last stanza best. I also like your quote, and damn straight agree with it til the day I die.

Well thank you sweetheart! Glad you liked it. ~Lilly~

I like this and I like the rhyme and flow. The images of fall are great. Winding it up with lovers enjoying the experience of it all seems to fit well.
