I wish I could tell you
That everything’s going to be all right.
I wish I could say
I could be your hero and save the day.
But it’s to late now,
No one can save you now.
You never let me in,
So you could lighten
The burden of your sins.
You never wanted to look inside,
To afraid of what you might find.
It couldn’t be much harder than this,
Telling the one I’ve admired most
That I’ve tried
And I’m not going to try anymore for this.
You tell me I deserve someone better, but you’re wrong.
You were the one who made me strong.
You opened my heart and helped me understand who I am.
I can’t sleep at night, lost in thought over you.
Now I think of life without you around,
I try to talk and I can’t make a sound.
There’s a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes.
And I can’t help but say,
“I love you and I’ll always be there…”

Woah... I have this feeling in my stomache, not a sick feeling but the feeling, like butterflies, that I get around that special someone, a good feeling, happy but nervous... I don't know what it is about this poem but I love it. I love all the last lines, from "You tell me I deserve someone better, but you’re wrong." to the very end...

This is a very depressing poem but very well written..the rhyming was great too..keep writing its very good to help you cope with feelings.

PS . Understanding one's self is to understand what love is? How can you predict what love is if you don't know what it is? Can a man say he's loved a woman if he doesn't know what it is? But for you my friend you've taught me more of what love is... I remember that talk we had...
