Ode to poetry

Missing image

Stroke, with silken touch

and baited breath,

the quickened senses;

Gasping with surprise

and hidden depths in

the drawing out of beauty...

flowing as a font of eternal

life, springing forth in

abundance... cascading freely

with unfettered abandon;

Tripping as from the tongue

to the page with easy

grace;

Unruffled... pure in text as

in thought

and in being just a thought...

drops easily into the

pool of words,

slowly... forming the

poetry of life.

    This explains poetry in such a novel and unique way - you have penned the right words to make this poem speak to us through the combinations you have created.

    this is a pleasure to read
    you've caught the mood, the moments when the words flow so easily that the pen (or fingers on a keyboard) cannot keep up with

    let the words drip slowly and clearly from the mind's eye, tears of beauty, of sorrow, of joy, let them all wash poetry's wisdom - a good piece. spill ink and twist me into the crazy shape of love...

    A beautiful expression of the drive to write. The flow of this piece is superb and the structure is lovely.

    springing forth in

    abundance cascading freely

    with unfettered abandon

    A stunning picture this paints in the mind of other poets. Wonderful imagery and description! Very well written!

    Nice work! Now the only question I have is: Is there a word to describe the use of words to describe the beauty of certain arrangements of words?
    *sheesh* I must be more tired than I thought!
    Beautiful, thoughtful, wistful, joyful.
    I give up! I simply can't describe adaquetly(sp?) how this poem makes me feel.

    Write On!
