Of Mind and Heart

Oh Mind,
You are like a run-away train
Every one is white knuckled
Just waiting for the crash.
There's no time
even to stop at the stations
Let alone enjoy the scenery

Oh Heart,
You are like a breath of fresh air
Calm and centred
And exuding peace
You allow me to feel
The flavour of my surroundings
Within and without
You make the journey
So worthwhile
And deliver me safely
At the destination.

    BEAUTIFUL!

This is so beautiful and written with such insight. And when the two come together what amazing things happen.

Dear dragansear, You are one of the most awake people I know ..but there always more awakening to be enjoyed ~ Awakening to the inner peace and joy, which exists in the heart of each and every one of us, Just waiting for us to make that connection. There is a love inside, There is contentment and joy.
It's said that what we practise most, is what we become very "Good" at. So be careful what you choose to practice most.
If we practice confusion, anger, frustration then that's what we become very good at. ..Or we can make it contentment, peace fulfilment, joy; where we choose to give our attention to.
I wish I had so much more time for reading everyones poems. I enjoy the way you write. You do contain a lot of wisdom and clarity which are things that interest me.
    Take care Tara

    So true, Puppydog,
When the mind and heart dance together ~ This is our heaven on earth. There could be no reater heaven than when the heart is full of joyous gratitude. Human beings are so fortunate that this exists within us. Peace and joy, dear soul Tara

    SO BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN

If only our minds and hearts could come together what wonders they would see and bring to us.

Uplifting, indeed, my dear... how is it that you can always write something such as this... I even tried last night to write something such as this and nothing would come... Perhaps I'm too much in the dark all the time... a dim soul...
This is my favorite part: "You allow me to feel/ The flavour of my surroundings/
    Within and without"
Thanks for sharing this will all of us. Bless you!

This reminds me of my grandmother. She never got into a car without saying a prayer.

    Blessed poet. This is marvelous.

Keep us safe on our journey through this life.

    THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!

You wonderful words say what most of us have forgot how to do and that is to see from our hearts, let our feelings show what we feel about what we see around us.
