memories stay

yet the distance of a silver ring
replaces the sensation of hope
circumferencing the boundaries
of freedom left forgotten
remaining bound to
a heart far off
into endless obsession
when will the gap be closed between memories and new realities?
loving arms are the only truths
when hugs are shared between
wiping the tears from a
lonely heartache to
sharing your love
with someone who
you may never see again

Author notes
well... i tried to leave it all to be imagined
can be about a number of things
i like for people to be able to see different situations in my writing for whatever situation they may be in in their lives
for me, however, has a lot to do with the pain i feel with the death of a loved one i'm dealing with and the fact that the only person that i have cared about for the past two years is about 100 miles away-- for however long he may stay without me

Personally, I would have preferred to hear straight from your heart what your emotions are with losing a loved one rather than leaving it open to interpretation. It seemed distant, almost. I did love as julianna, the bit about hugs.. Best of wishes in the contest.

'WOW!!!! this is an amazing write you did an awesome job on the imagry its like every line paints another part to this horribly amazing picture and the emotion that is just packed into this write is amazing and to top it off even with all of the imagry and all of the emotion you kept a great flow going you did a wonderful job my favorite part of this write was:
