brush. Then, as the wonder spins ‘round
allow the tree dappled light to fall to the ground.
Grind up the pixilated dust and swing drunkenly
from the garden gate as you dance on one leg
blessing your fate. Now, cross your eyes, howl at the moon.
Wear something sexy and blow up balloons.
Close your eyes. Wear your biggest, biggest smile,
hug your favorite child, pray you have mixed all the pieces,
right. Then, there -- before your eyes, you will see Mel arrive.
Turn up the amp, let the rock ‘n’ roll writhe
jump, turn and jiggle, get sweaty and say HI!
Mel will make you laugh, feel your best inside
and as the moon swings past open up your sensual side.
She is every little child's friend and builds bonfires
that burn up most men. But, if you understand
the fairy child that still lives on wing inside,
you will sit quietly and let her blossom by your side.

I make no effort to hide my loves. I look at it more as a celebration of the joy I have recieved and the blessings that have been given me. joy is never to be hidden and Mel is most definitly a joy to have as a friend and loved one.
Love Tom B.

My dear Tom this is such a befitting tribute of the lovely and talented luckynsincere. She has a gift and she shares it with all. Her heart radiates and overflows with love and passion like no other. You truly have taekn me back with your words of honor and tribute for and to her.

my thanks
A friend is a friend. They become incorporated into your life and mix their own magic into your heart, unlike aquaintances that at most can be remembered by name. She is my friend, my love. Her faults and failings are accepted as the imperfections that make her so perfectly what she is. We have shared much and hopefully well continue to share more. I am glad you can hear the way I have tried to honor her and reflect the joy she has created for me. Also I hope this poem reawakened the magic and madness that she has strewned into the hearts of all that she loves. Love, Tom B.

Thanks, this sort of wrote itself after the opening line came to me during a cig break on my front lawn. Funny how things just pop into place. Love, Tom B.

Sweet! This is so whimsical and layered. shows all the facets of the jewel of a girl!

It is a gift to have someone choose to read your poems just because of what they find worthy. Thank you. I am touched far deeper than you may imagine. Mel and I have been friends ever since she went crazy over some of my early sensual poetry. We have a teasing, but crazy beautiful conversation going on now, because of the comment on this poem that I made.
I am glad you enjoyed this. It is tricky to write about someone else and capture, at least touch, the magic they hold for you. I think I got real close with this one. Love, Tom B. -
BEAUTIFUL POEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Tom, this is such a beautiful poem you have written for Melanie. She is so sweet and has been a friend for two years. One of the first people I met on here. You could not say enough nice things about her. I am so glad I read this and I want to thank you for honoring her. This was a lovely poem you have written for her. Best of luck in the contest. Take care, Blessings. Sandy

This is a contest poem. It was written to make a dear friend smile. I succeeded in making her delighted.
I appreciate you taking the time to comment after reading this poem. This is a great gift on your part. Love, Tom B. -
This is beautiful! Touches childhood dreams and freedoms we forget as adults and still brings forth love of another withnin your heart that brings this joyful piece out of you. I enjoyed this very much and don't stress about the contest, please your love and that's better than any contest.

The opportunity presented itself. I took it. I am now haunted by a contest challenge and I am not living up to it. Depressing.
Later. Love, Tom B.

Thanks for the compliments and understanding. Mel was the first person to read it. She wanted to know when we would flee across the sea and then ran out of words. Have a great day. Love,Tom B.

Well Done Fun!
A very upbeat flow, and I'm thinking will make Mel very pleased indeed.
You taking the time and penning something so fun loving is wonderful, and I appreciate you sharing this with me. I enjoyed this, pen on poet!

Thanks. I appreciate this, because you are one of the few who know both of us. Yeah it was a trick to balance the dreamer, the woman, the mother and the child in this piece. I guess from your response and others that I kind of succeeded. This is good. She loved it and was all teary about it. That is better. Again thanks. Love, Tom B.

I enjoyed seeing her through your eyes, Tom, the sense of womanhood and that nurturing side which still loves the innocence of children. Her spirit sparkles!

Glad you enjoyed while I danced with my vision of Mel's spirit. She truly is, for me, everything I wrote and more. Love,Tom B.

This is so magical and fun. I enjoyed it very much I felt the child in me. Children are so innocent and can have such imaginations. I know a lot of children who would like to have a friend like Mel. I'm about to do some reading on fairies, I think their cool. Good luck in your contest.

Thanks for the compliments. In truth the first line was the hardest and vermilion was a gift from some inner muse. Glad you caught the underlieing mysticism. you read well. Love, Tom B.
-
A poem filled with imagery and packed with emotion. Written in very simple style but so effective that it moves one's insides. The fairy child that lives inside and the mysticism created in the poem from the very onset with the vermillion is extraordinary. I enjoyed it.
-
Yeah, I can tell you understand. The smile says it all. That is a large part of the light she brings. Love, Tom B.

Lucky is a very special gift to us all

Sometimes we all just like to know it is okay to believe in magic. That is one of the best sides of Mel. She can be magical. Thanks for enjoying the poem. Tom B.
-
i really like this. i'm not sure why, but i do. it flows so well, and the voice is so loving and gentle.
you touched the child in me, i think.
-
Thanks for the compliment. You must be just over the border in North Carolina. Lovely state. Tom B.
-
To see that you're from Alexandria blew my mind because Alexandria is about five and a half hours north of me. Now that's said, this write is very sincere in its meaning without any hints of trepidation. keep penning

Well isn't that a perfect descirption of Mel. I had to sit with this all day. then I just had to let it out. Glad you liked it. Love, Tom B.
-
good
this was so playful and sensual at the same
time. you have an amazing talent for words.
you portrayed such a carefree, playful and
erotic scene. good job with this. -
Only showing the Light I have recieved from this friend. If you get some of it on you, she is just bigger for it. Love,Tom B.
-
You know, your right. I'm glad you said that. It made me grow a little inside.

Then, you have a heart full of joy that hugs life and friends and understand that lust is a word to describe loveing life very much. Love, Tom B.
-
That she loves it is really all that matters. At least, to me. Love, Tom B.
-
Well, thank you very much he says with a grin and a blush. Love,Tom B.
-
You know me, Lane. I like to let the words dance and say what I want them to say, just as long as love and joy shine through. I only write what I see. Love,Tom B.
-
I think even little kids can delight in words like sexy. Cinderella was for the ball. I had a four year old tell me that. Was shocked at first and then found out that it meant pretty to her. We grow into words. The meaning is only as big as our imagination and as long as we don't show that imagination more than it needs to know innocence stays free. Love,Tom B.
-
Lots of luv shown here in these lines - light shines way over this way too - radiating out in all directions like there's no tomorrow - lovely sentiments expressed so well - wonderful!
-
though I don't know LuckyNSincere but for maybe a few passing poem-comments, it feels to know so very much of her by your poem. A very loving tribute to a good friend, and looking at the comments you've received, it looks like she loves this poem too!

I loved this poem it really shows your talent to write such touching and unique poems that stay true to you. Great -
I don't know the poet you write of here, but I'm damn sure they are simply basking in the glow of such a beautiful and whimsical piece of work.
Love,

This was very magical. It kind of reminded my of J.M. Barries imaginations in Peter Pan. You have this categorized under childrens and I can see the that for most of the poem except for the part where you talk about wearing something sexy. But, it isn't like you are vulgar or anything. Anyways.....
I really, really enjoyed reading this poem it made me smile.
I wish you well in your contest.

The first people to greet me. You and touchof1der. The first contest I won was held by you. The first collaboration was with you. Of course I know your magic, I got it smiled all over me. I couldn't miss the chance to drop my words and moon you when i got the chance.
Love,Tom B.
