-I Wonder If He'd Like Me-

I wonder if he'd like me if I knew everything.
I wonder if he'd like me if I tried to learn to sing.
Or maybe if I wore plaid skirts or changed my whole wardrobe,
or if I always made a smirk or pierced my lower lobe.
Perhaps if I could write a song.  Perhaps if I knew "dove."
Perhaps if I could read along to a book that he loved.
Perhaps if I could make a dance or maybe I could fly,
or if I had a friend from France or swore I'd never lie.
Or maybe if I flew to York and knew how to debate
with people who eat food with sporks or told him I believed in Fate.
I wonder if he'd like me for the reasons I have listed.
I wonder if he'd like me if he knew that I existed.

'I Wonder If She'd Like Me' by Eric Ode : www.gigglepoetry.com/poem.aspx?PoemID=225&CategoryID=8

English assignment.  Had to rewrite his poem using the same rhyme scheme and whatnot.  Yep.

    :/
I read the real poem it was based off of and I like yours much better - Ahahahh. It's not that funny really considering that that poem seems like it was written by a 40-year-old trying to be a kindergartener ;/ And the part at the end works better with your poem for some reason, I dunno why.
But yeah, that proves how amazing you are

Tchatchatcha. Nice. I like the ending a whole lot, how after youre saying you might change all this crap about yourself to get him to like you that he doesnt know the real you to begin with. It reminds me of those dumb moments we all have where the obvious thing is saved til last. I like how even though you had to write this I can still tell you did it. ^.^ A friend from france, Plaid mini skirts, learn to sing as you claim you can't, flew to York, I'm assuming its new york, but I supoose the regular York works too for your fascination with Europe :/ - Ahahahh.
The only part I don't get is the part about knowing "dove".
lol, but besides that its great. Much love from your lovely =]

I like the way you're faithful to the rhymeing pattern. This could become a song, with a little more work. Well done

Great poem. I like it. It is kinda weird, but I like it. Don't know what else to say about it.
