Friendship



Never doubt my motives

When you see that sparkle in my eyes

Or look for a concocted mask

Hiding a factitious disguise

For I tell you now my friend

These words are not to be misconstrued

I say to you with hand on heart

That I simply adore you.


Do you know how intensely

You live within my soul

Can you recognise the truth

That it is you that makes me whole

My love for you never falters

You’re in my thoughts constantly

This is not affection in a bottle

It is love with honesty.


It is a new emotional birth

When, a friendship is born

Getting to know each other

Yes! sometimes, standing on a thorn

But, if out of time I could pick a moment

And keep it shining anew

Of all the days that I have lived,

I'd pick the moment that I met you.

    Friendship true friendship is a beautiful thing.To endure the ups and downs,to know when one is in pain and to just listen.Most of all to remain.Thank you for the lovely comment on my poem.
    I may not post but I will certainly comment.My poetry is taking a break and I have plenty to edit.I want to concentrate on other forms of writing and for that I need to leave my poetic musings for a while.My job is consumming my energy too. I am enjoying just reading on here.
    Back to your poem this is a tribute to those you care about and I'm sure possibly someone close to your heart.
