Strength In God
God gave me the strength I needed,
to fight all of Satan's charms.
Then God took away my strength,
so I would fall into his arms.
I give my heart, my soul, my mind,
and every part of me.
I gladly cry all these tears,
now I walk with thee.
I no longer walk in darkness,
and no longer walk alone.
My heart is over flowing,
with a joy I've never known.
I want to share my love for you,
but no one else believes in my home,
so each day I cry my tears,
and tell you in a poem.
I never was a strong person,
I'm looking for strength right now.
How many more tears to I have to cry?
I'd stop but I don't know how.

The tears should never stop I think. Tears should be there for my own sinfulness, tears should be there for the hurt and pain that this world is going through, tears should be there for the multitudes of lost and hopeless people all around us.
I like the end of this piece. God is not looking for strong people. God chooses the weak things of this world to confound the mighty....... If you were strong, you could claim credit for the outcome. Since you are weak then God can get his due honor for the outcome of things. God bless you, Mark -

Hi Sis ~ I can't tell if this is happy or sad. The third stanza sounds so joyful and then the last one speaks of endless tears. Surely your faith is strong enough not to be influenced by whether some other person believes or not. You should have more faith in HIM and in yourself. I hope all is well. Was the competition cancelled last night? We enjoyed the Homecoming Day with Cassy. Looking forward to more joyful poems from you...how about a Chester Bunny Halloween poem? I can't wait to see if he and Penny are still together.

Sandy - your poetry is always so lovely, poignant and genius!!! I am a personal fan of yours I think if you make a small gesture of goodwill to resist, God will do all the rest, it is as easy as that.. In Cor., it says that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Also in James 4:7 - it says resist the devil and he will flee from you.. You are stronger than you may think.. you are where you are right now because you are so strong! It's ok to cry to
