Poetry Is A Friendship Rose
How poetry so fills the soul,
with visions of tenderness.
It lifts the spirits oh so high,
out of disparity's depths
Feelings of love, deep within,
typed with the most loving hand.
Heart beating reading each one,
with a passion you understand.
Emitting so much loveliness,
smiles and grins ear to ear.
Typing words warm and fuzzy,
to be read by loving eyes here.
Poetry can come change your life,
giving hope to where there is none,
Even a heart, shattered in two,
beats when the reading is done.
Poetry has done this for me,
blessed me with a friend I adore.
Love can be found in written words,
fill my heart and soul ever more.

This is beautiful. Your words are so eloquent. The imagary helps us understand the way way writing frees the heart and soul to say thing that we sometimes cant say.

Hi sandygram, Beautiful poem and beautiful background. You seem to have captured what writing means to me also. It gives me great joy to have a subject come to mind from something I've read, seen or heard and then be able to write a poem about it. When I finish I can hardly wait to share it with someone else. That's my favorite line. I think this is SO stunning the way you even talked about how we write poetry, be it actually penning or typing ^_^ and the way you described it being warm n fuzzy. Gah, you are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO amazing.

Great personal piece which I’m glad is personal since it’s so happy (most of the time I’m reading about people’s sad situations and apologising that it can’t be fiction
) I liked this poem about poetry. This was a very hopeful poem. It was a beautiful tribute.
