The World Stopped

the world stopped but they didn't know.
they kept moving and breathing while everything else stood stock-still.
everything was in a time warp that they could not enter
all they could do was breathe and pass by.
they did not know how long the world stood still or how long they moved,
busy in their own  meaningless dreams.
nothing was the same and the only thing worth having was the ability to stand
still, but they could not.
they kept rushing and pushing, hoping that maybe if they pushed through
they could learn what it meant to be
still and silent.
they yelled desperate to be heard and understood.
they screamed horrified awful screams that pierced the motionless world with its call of
"Please remember me.
Please let me matter.
Please don't let me be forgotten."
but no one heard, no one understood their cry and
they knew they would live forever in the land of the forgotten, abandoned, and the
worthless.
so they kept moving in the hushed stillness, trying to believe the lie that they
could drown out the calm with their inconsequential noise.
but no matter how hard they tried,
no matter how hard they fought they still ended up on the floor,
pleading for someone to find them.
for the world to move again.

love your words, so true to, it is like in life, so much going on, so much of it bad, but folk get caught up in thier day-to-day, till they need someone and realize....love what you state and one has to read between your lines to say, nice work.
