Writers' Block
What a shock!
I have writers' block!
Haven't written a poem in weeks
to tell the truth,
there is nothing my mind wishes to speak,
in rhyme or free-verse,
apparently university is a curse.
Even the fantasy poem I started a while back,
now more words for it, I lack.
As I sit here in this dreadful bus,
I, unfortunately, can not cuss,
Coz I'm fasting and I have to be good.
But don't worry, I'll complain as much as I could!
It is so hot and the a.c. is broken
- typical - cars below are croakin'
Peep! Peep! goes the horn.
Those people in the car with the a.c. on I do scorn!
Well, I'd better get goin'
and find something useful to do.
It's September but I doubt winter's comin'
and it's wonderfully hot too!

I enjoyed the humor in this,
but some of the rhyming seemed a little forced in some places.
Though overall it was very enjoyable. I could relate to the feeling that little thing wsa annoying because of writers block lol

We all go through that...I just have healed from a similar condition...and thankfully my ac is working

I love how you wrote it. I hate writers block but it seemed to me your poem ended up talking about the heat and a lack of AC (I use this contraction quite often).
I thought it was very funny. Good job.

Your write describes exactly what I'm going through right now, not the bus bit but more the feeling, the - sniffles - sense of loss!

if that is a writers' block then what would it be like if it is not! i loooove it. it is so funny, yeah university is a curse, work for tv is more of a curse, esp egyptian tv, although it could inspire profanity which is not really my taste but i resorted to instead of exploding.

Very fun! It definitely made me smile, I actually am kind of hoping to get a little bit of writer's block so I can focus and concentrate on school!
My mind has just been reeling lately!

Well for writers block you certainly know how to handle it .

I wish I had that kind of Writers block maby I could write something. Good rhyme good flow what can I say Just plain GOOD..
