The Days of the Pheonix

I stood dazzled,
Imbibing in your taste for eloquence.
Up on that stage nothing could change.
Your words penetrated through my veins,
like morphine, i was fazed.
No nothing could change you.
I fell into your fantasy.
Dancing dancing, dearest.

Years later the Pheonix still prevails,
the ghost of four and mine to find.
Locked in your dream.

Author notes

this is all i got...i can only interpret...but i can't really write it in a poem. i can have a deep soulful conversation about Davey's lyrics because i need to talk about it...not just write it down and not have any feedback.

this is beautiful. i know exactly how you feel about daveys lyrics, and thats part of the reason why i had this contest, to see how other people interpret his lyrics. i can see that connection that you have, and even though this poem is so short, i can just feel the aura of mystery and elequence when i read it. great write and good luck in my contest!
