From hence the world that Eve once knew
Exists those graves from which time grew,
For every argument once had
Seems to bleed, the crimson shed,
From thine arms, oh tainted youth,
You have no hope to see the truth.
For whence we bloom, our eyes are blind,
The papers burned are those we signed.
Remember, child, what you had not done
Yet dreams remain so blank, each one.
Sweet sorrow seems the greatest sin,
Dare search for what thy revered in.
The moon is full, the sun has paused,
Climb to your coffin, and all is lost.
You have no more left to defend,
How dare you think you apprehend.
Dear youth, fear not what now is near,
You have no reason to be here.
Years later, lend the lonely loon,
A sorrow sound under the moon
Will wake the souls which now reside
Rest high upon the mountain side.
A hopeful ripple in ponds now dry
Will bestow hope in those that lie.
There is no hope to being saved,
For no longer exists such a grave.
So heed my warning and my prayer,
Come hither to the truthful lair.
What is now is and always was,
And we will do as nature does.
Exists those graves from which time grew,
For every argument once had

Author notes
This is pretty much a commentary on our beliefs and how they are affected by society. In class the other day, I was listening to a few friends debate nature with some who believe in Heaven and Hell. This came out to be a logical consensus of ideas based on the ideas that stem from a few classes I take. ^_^

Bleak
It reads like a desolate version of "To the Virgins, To Make Much of Time." Except you want people to give up rather period rather than give up their chastity.
I best like the closing couplet. -
I love the last two lines, Mariss. Nature is all-knowing, is what I gather. Snaps for humanities discussions, and currently procrastinating work for that class
I LOVE these lines:
"Dear youth, fear not what now is near,
You have no reason to be here."
Very swell write, darling. Love you oodles.
Good luck in my contest!
Thanks for entering,
