Dying For Your Love

I used to think our love was true
And that I’d always be with you

I used to think you’d love me forever
And that we’d always be together

But as I look, I now see
How more wrong, could I be?

Now, my hopes and dreams are broken
For, those three words, were not spoken

So that is why, I now know
To free me from your cold heart I must go

I say goodbye, through this knife
And for you, I must end my life

And now, as I die, I must ask
Before I complete the fatal task

There is one last thing I cannot see
Why could you not love me?

Author notes

This is my first poem I have ever posted on here. So sorry it's really bad.

Thanks! It's one of my first poems ever, and I didn't really know what people would think of it as I've kinda only just started using this site.
