~~Day and Evening Reflections~~

Missing image
High clouds float in a sea of blue
The scent of new mown grass
Echoes resonate from hills and hollers below
Cowbells tinkle off in the distance
And sounds of laughter
I hear at the old swimming hole~

Dusk and lingering sunset of gold and orange
Tall grass sways in the summer breeze
Hoot owls serenade us, tree frogs sing
A star appears, then another
The moon shines down, smiling
Pleased~

How beautiful. The moon looking down at the night's work created and the pleasure of the beauty it contains. Very nicely done. The picture is clear to the mind's eye. Thank you. - SG

What a lovely picture this has painted in my mind! I like the contrast between the day and the evening...the day being full of busy sounds/activities, and the evening being full of tranquil sounds readying for rest.
    Nicely done.

Ohhh this is beautiful..has such a calming and serene effect!!! It's like being out in the country, away from the hustle and bustle and madness of city life, where one can be alone and one with nature...this took me away from everything if for a brief moment...beautifully written Susan!!!

Reads like the artist oil painting. So lovely. I could picture and hear it all. BTW, how do you get the happy face with arms stretched out? I see happy faces rolling as well. Let me know

Beautiful Susan. Wow, I wish I was there right now. Hehe. It sounds like a place where I used to go during the summertime where my grandma lived. And I must say, it gave me the best feeling I have ever felt. Good times. Lovely poem.

    With Love,
    Jey

This is a pretty nice picture that you paint. It was just a little to sugery sweet for me though dear... maybe there is to much thought in my head and emotion in my heart to let myself be truely impacted by this.

This was soooo relaxing... I saw a few people sitting in the grass watching evening fall on a fresh summer day. I could actually hear all the sounds as I read and I swear I smelled that swimming hole you're talkin about! lol
