Tuesday is your birthday daff ...I'm still suffering from writer's block so I thought to make up this page of silliness for your Birthday.
Ok, so here goes - completely off the top of my head but it's from my heart.
I'll stand up and udder -Happy Birthday to you
recite it in Spanish, French or Hebrew
Shucks, I really don't know how
for I only speak cow
So I'll just say, Happy Birthday to Moo !
Hey remember how we first met, back when I was a mod and you told me about your love for cows?
Since I was raised on a farm I let you in on a secret that not many know, passed down from my dad - on how to make a cow remember you always as a friend.
Well here is an old photo of my dad when he was in Holland...a farm hand and i think this may be the first cow he tried it on. Yes. this cow made history. I love this photo and i miss him still but wanted to share it with you....
For all you other cow lovers out there... here's what you do....
1. You slowly walk up to a cow..don't make any loud noises or sudden movements.
2. Oh, i forgot - make sure there's a fence between you and the cow since you are a stranger and she might stampede you. Keep in mind they are gentle but moody.
Did I fail to mention that to you daff? Hope not.
3. Make eye contact but show no teeth....if you wanna smile be sure it's a closed mouthed smile - cuz to this easily spooked beast, she'll think you're baring your teeth...especially if you have a huge over-bite... it'll give the wrong impression and first impressions are lasting. So you're best off to keep your pearly whites hidden.
4. Bend over and grab a hand full of green grass since as we all know, The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
WARNING - this is from the cow's perspective ...not yours - dont and I repeat, Don't stick your hand on the cow's side of the fence to grab the grass ....she cud step on it.
5. Extend the grass through the fence and towards the cow as you softly whisper sweet cow nothings such as " You're such a fine bovine" or " If i were a bull and you the cow..I'd get on your back and show you how" or even " Nice teats"
6. As the cow is chowing down on your offerings - stroke its head..up and down lightly - before you leave ..bring your face up to the cow and blow up her nose...she'll will remember your scent always and know you as a friend for the next time.
What makes you so special daff - when i told you this...you didnt question it...you didnt think me odd ... you went straight out ...found a cow and blew up it's nose. That bonded you to me and showed me you're my kind of gal.

... hey this was DIFFERENT... really DIFFERENT.... something worth cherishing all life... no one would have written such a wonderful bday-write-up for daffodil
