The raging water overflow the dam
The bursting reeds the halo round her head
Shatter short waves you know you have me now
I've seen you with him
And I can't be

We were happy until the next day
You were mad and lashed at me

And I guess the greatest wraith
Reveals deep within the greatest love

The title is what drew me in to read this poem. I think we've all felt this at one time or another. There are some metaphors, but I like that the message of the poem isn't entirely hidden by them.
