Unwanted as this guest may be,
we’re left without a choice.
Our days no longer are carefree,
It’s just too hard to voice.
Uncertainty the future holds
No long term plans are made.
What will occur as day unfolds.
What price today is paid.
Will he be left to live in peace,
Or are there other plans.
Will life be given a new lease.
One hint of how it stands.
Your son just wants to kick a ball
Or ride the bikes with you.
He doesn’t understand at all,
What this pain can do.
And as the sun sets every day,
My wish , a simple one,
That as, at last, in bed we lay,
Tonight he’s up for fun.
You may well ask, why not be rid
Of our unwanted guest?
Oh would. we could do as you bid.
We’d try our very best,
But this dark fiend is here to stay,
To haunt us till life ends.
This game is so damn hard to play,
So full of twists and bends,
They call this guest ‘for short’ M.S.
We have to deal with it,
What each day brings, is just a guess
Lets hope he’s not hard hit ,
So; this guest is here to stay,
No matter our desires.
Just got to get right through each day,
Regardless what transpires.
We three deal with this sometime,
Though only one’s been touched.
Please tell us that it’s not a crime,
To hate this guest so much.
We’ll give him a small space out back
And not let him take charge.
Then keep all our lives right on track,
Not let him get too large.
For he’d take over if he’s let,
To run wild ‘tween us all.
But we three got our minds right set,
to get up if we fall.
