Dare we meet down by the meadow?
Just where the clover greets the lake
where daffodils are in their bloom,
out of our dreams, when we’re awake.
I shall bring along a blanket
a cotton quilt to sit upon.
As we gaze upon each other
and as our love goes on and on.
And dare we dream of tomorrows,
brought about by this one day.
As we sit here in this meadow,
while casting all the world away.
As I awake from this slumber,
dreams are not always as they seem.
There will be no bright tomorrows,
this just was all, a wishful dream.

Oh lovely dream and lovely poem. Made me feel so relaxed when reading it and I loved the line "just where the clover meets the lake" perfect. Thankyou for reading my poem 'Don't tell', please come back and read some more!

Awwww so sweet and just a pretty poem all around. Loved the ending! The rhyme was dead-on and the flow was superb. Thanks for entering, and best of luck!
