Love is a black board
with words
etched into by nails,
and, unless you are the one
who wrote the words,
they can never be removed.
But, if you were the author
and you stop writing
and stop looking
the words will fade
and the board will look anew
from afar.
But once another gets close
they will discover the words written
and they will know that
the board has been scarred
by someone else
and that no matter how hard they try
the words will always remain.
Yet, they will try to scribe new words
with frantic scribbles
in an effort to wipe your aching slate clean
but, below their cursive writing
the words will always remain.

Brilliant , Outlook on The Heart
These are some very true words. No matter how hard one tries to forget or hide the pain once they suffered. Somehow its always there to smile at us, the dark smile of I hurt you! You have done a beautiful job on this prose.....keep um coming, luv........ennovy

Hey Richa...
I am...okay, I guess. My heart is heavy and my mind is preoccupied, but I am trying to stay positive and keep smiling. I am preparing for the worst and hoping for the best, which always causes personal conflict. But, I am writing and trying to figure things out.
Thanks for the comments and concern. You are far too kind to me you know.

below their cursive writing,
the words will always remain.
