one weekend in New York
A couple weeks ago
One prayer we all sang
For the class of 2010
The upperclassmen surrrounded us
in a cirle with a white candle
the greeted us with a smile
this was more than we could handle
Each upperclassmen said a prayer
wising us the best
their candle wax was getting low
it was time for us to do the rest
the freshmen were to
get their candlelight from them
I went to a senior name Ria
and our candles collided
"Dear God,
Please guide me
to do my best
and allow me to graduate
as the class of 2010."
I walked away
as my heart sang
and i sat down on the grass
it was at night
and it was bright
with 200 dancing lights

Great write nova. I love spiritual poetry, but some people just make theirs way too long, and I no longer enjoy reading it. Good job. <3 Erin
