My favorite place to be
I'll cover my whispers in her laughter
Lean closer, listen to me
Search near and far away
In daylight and in night
But I'll always be one step ahead

Tread softly in the moonlight
For I might find you there
Pay attention to the shadows
One could easily be my lair
I won't whisper my love into darkness
As I've done in times long past

I am so there. I would suggest that you break this into stanza's though it would make for an easier read. You have wirtten a very good piece here. I could empathize with it entirely. Thank you for sharing and thank you for entering.

Incredibly simple -- not a bad thing.
I hate having to long for something you can't have, but it's the people like that, that write the best poetry because emotion is so much stronger.

Now as a lover of shadows, the dark and love poetry . This is perfect blend of all three. There is much beauty in the night and the whispers laid there-in. You penn this with such a soft ink and a tenderness so very heartfelt it is a wonder anyopne can be affraid of the dark.
