Soul searching within myself, to
Open up and see what I find. Learn from
My mistakes, no longer will I hide.
Each experience, a wisdom of truth, a
Token of what was once my youth. I
Hold close the knowledge and know now what
I must do. Find that place within my heart,
Neglected through and through. To let
Go of the past, find somewhere, a future bright.
To dream with hope and purpose and find that
One perpetual light. And in times, I cannot
Brave my storms, to only close my
Eyes and see what before me forms.
Live for today, the past, it can't be changed.
Instead, look towards the future, where
Each moment's a brand new stage. Give
Victory to myself as I slowly overcome, the
Err of my ways and the stupid things I've done.
I rise tomorrow, tell myself I am forgiven. Life,
Now that's something to believe in.
