Inhale – (Inspired by Breathe… by Lurie)

Inhale my essence,
on gasps of fire.
I’ll breathe your dreams;
…exhale desire.

Lay me down,
on perfumed ground.
Caress me till,
fulfillment’s found.

Gaze at me,
With star filled eyes.
Leave not one flame,
in envious skies.

Shower me,
in love’s sweet dew.
and keep this heart,
…that beats for you.

Patricia Gibson-Little

Author notes

I really loved both Lurie and Joe's poems... I haven't gotten to deedee's yet, but I will.  I loved "Abandon" too, but this one inspired me first.  I hope you like it.
