Why must the children suffer?
They are always the ones to pay.
a broken marriage; a broken home,
They never have a say.
Yet through it all they try to smile
and display their childish charms;
when all they need is a little love,
and to be held in someones arms.
Pick up any paper and read
the stories from all around,
about the children strangled or beaten,
or about the ones "accidentally" drowned.
we shut our eyes and close our ears
at this horror beyond belief,
While these things are really happening,
filling our world with grief.
you hear of a newborn infant, simply thrown away,
a tiny little angel, that never had a say.
When is it all going to stop? will we ever see the end?
These children are products of our society!,
and could use a guiding hand.
we must stop the moral decay, turn our world around.
Before we read the headlines of another victim found.
No one wants to listen,
and we should hold our heads in shame,
because tomorrow when another child dies,
we'll simply pass the blame.

Excellant
Very well written indeed, I liked it just the way it is. -
Thank you. Glad you like it. it seems like evry time i turn on the news or pick up a paper, theres something about a child being abused, or worse, dead. The media reports it and haggles the story until its bled dry but no one really takes any measures for prevention.

A very powerful truth penned here for our youth.
It is a shame, and I for one keep my eyes on the look out for my angel, my son. And he is my life, the air I breathe, and I wonder how so many could hurt another family, a child lost or worse, from sea to sea, all around the world, the same old song.
This is so true
These children are products of our society!,
and could use a guiding hand.
we must stop the moral decay, turn our world around.
Before we read the headlines of another victim found.
No one wants to listen,
and we should hold our heads in shame,
because tomorrow when another child dies,
we'll simply pass the blame.
You express yourself perfect, and I read you crystal clear.
Thanks for caring, much love to you and yours, Timothy

Aww what a beautifully sad poem. I loved the poem. It was so moving and sad. You did a great job on this. Keep it up. Kahy -
Beautifully sad and prolific piece!! This is a serious problem in our society and it's not getting any better. You took an awful subject and gave it notice through these magnificent lines. This piece has a wonderful flow and a striking message. Bravo!!

Wonderful stuff
Very very passionate piece this one. I agree totally. The children very rarely - if ever - get a say. They have no voice. They do not start the abuse, or wars, or famines. They are the ones caught right in the middle. Sometimes they are used as pawns in militias.
Learning how to shoot before they can even read. Your poem has hit a very strong nerve with me. And your piece is so so right. Keep up the wonderful work you are producing. Well done. -
I am so very happy to hear that you are turning a very negative aand hurtful situation into something positive. Keep working with those children, hon. I am honored that you like my write. Thank you so much for your comment.

thank you so much for this wonderful piece of work.i know what it is like to be taken advantage as a child and till this day i have so many emotional problems sometime i think i would be better off if i wasnt around then i think of my goal to help other children out and that is the most important thing i need to do before i leave this world thank you for writing this piece

-
excellent
Lisa... U r an mazing poet! N the concerns u raise through this wonderful work has always been a cause i stand for. I always seem to be saying 'fool around if u want pple, but just don't make babies unless u 're damn sure!' Children are little daimonds, they're priceless and joyfull. Its time we learn to respect their angelic silence! Good work, m inspired.
