Wine glassed etched with hearts
meant to toast everlasting love
gathering dust
now is empty~
A queen size bed
waiting for a prince
his side
is now empty~
Two hearts once so full of love
with hopeful dreams and passionate fire
is now
empty~
Oddly now
by heart beats
but i feel
so empty~
meant to toast everlasting love
gathering dust
now is empty~
A queen size bed
waiting for a prince
his side
is now empty~
Two hearts once so full of love
with hopeful dreams and passionate fire
is now
empty~
Oddly now
by heart beats
but i feel
so empty~

This is sad. Similar to how you've said you feel 'numb.' This feeling of 'emptiness' when you should be filled with love. I hope since this was written that the glass has been filling up again. Love never dies, but sometimes it needs a recharge.

This poem oozes sadness. Hopefully, that empty feeling will soon change! I hope that everything works out for you, Sis! Hang in there!
Love Ya!

********* Many poetry stars.*****
Let me speak to you a loving word,
That somehow joy might be secured.
That you might never know a doubt,
Of what your love is all about.
The loving heart of you will shine,
Enough to move this heart of mine.
And I will tell you all is well,
You are much more than you can tell.
Dont grieve and hide yourself away,
I send you all my love today. -
Another persons words cannot truly embrace, except by intent, the finality and depth of sorrow loss such as this brings. Your words here, in the form of this poem, serve as best they can, to convey such overwhelming loss to the rest of us... many of whom have yet to have their turn into the darkest pit of despair and hopelessness... I have tho... I have suffered a loss such as yours, and my heart is with you... and I know... that critical words on technical form, do not lend themselves in a situation like this. I felt your sadness, and relived some of my own... I hope to talk to you sometime. Thank you for inviting me over and for reading one of mine that was written for my departed love, two years ago. God Bless, Susan

Absolutly wonderful and amazing!
Deep in~side this heart of mine,
your head,
gentle...rests.
I feel the days
passing by,
I feel no regrets.
Just an over~whelming emptiness,
that burrows ever down,
my prince has gone heaven~ward,
I bleed for the thorny crown.
Tear~drops,
liquid pain discharged,
from these tired eyes
grown dim,
I'll find my prince
with~in my dreams
on fantasy and whim...............Laura

There is, indeed, a hollow sound to this poem--especially in the heart's beating... Good job...
-
do not touch it
Susan ,
could feel the loneliness and sadness in this one. Would have loved much more to be able to imagine that it was a fictional write
Hang in there , will keep you in my thoughts

Oh this is so sad
It's a horrible feeling "empty" I know it all too well. Especially when you no longer have someone you loved. THere's still a beauty through the sadness. The same beauty that shines through in all your works.

A very sad write indeed Susan ... A true reflection of how life is when one is without their partner.
You have captured the situation well with your words.
Take heart Dear Friend, never is all lost ...
Sammy.
