If I had known today the last day would come...
I remember your eyes when we were together
Your heart beating so strong,
an unexplainable joy.
Your innocent soul shone through starless nights
as I returned back home from the long/winding road
The purest of beings receiving me at home
with the warmth of the sun and the presence of stone.
An observant young sprout
a strong spirit of might
Hear him run, hear him growl
the heart made gold that would never grow old.
You were there...
Every morning, every day
Taking care of that special place,
This place we call home.
Though no one ever knew who you were...
like a stranger from another world,
a casual shadow in between
One who seeks, but never finds,
One more vacant passerby.
A love with no conditions,
with no regrets, no remorse,
I feel lucky just to be
a friend for you,
the one you trust.
A silent weep that died in vain...
The words you never ever said...
An urge for love, a crying shame,
withstanding abandon
I should've been there...
Where have you been all these rainy nights?
Where did you go?
Do you know that I miss you?
Please tell me you're happy.
Please tell me you're safe.
This eternal friend of yours
still longs for those lost days
when I smiled and perceived
that secret glimpse deep in your sight,
a spark only revelead
when our souls we're bursting with life.
I mourn and cry tonight
as rain showers this feeling of pain
since my mind won't cease to realize
no tear can ever wash the stain.
Goodbye, dear friend. I miss you so much.
Please understand that wherever you are
Here in my heart, you never left home.
