It slipped her mind.
Fell from her brain-
swam in cerebrospinal fluid
opened her arteries
Then nestled beside the sinoatrial node
-forever interfering with the beating of her heart.
See,
she forgot him.
But her body remembered how he changed her.

does this have anything to do with Ren & Stimpy and the Salve salesman?...

Sometimes it is said that our actions are like a pebble tossed into a pond--that we cause ripples and they spread out to the entire pond. This is true to a point, but it also gives our actions no lasting impact, for within minutes those ripples are gone forever. The analogy falls apart at this juncture. We make a difference in the lives we touch and those ripples can take years (even decades) to fade away. We can tear out pieces of others and leave them devastated. We can mold them into better people. We can just leave them smiling for awhile. Anyway, I digress. It seems that this person left quite the impression on you. Not sure if the science stuff helped or hindered this piece, but it was a fabulous ending!
