I'm so pretty.
Some think inside,
others out.
No words-
a typical glance hangs in a birdcage,
while the seeds are laced with doubt.
Keep talking-
it's alright they won't understand.
The man there, in the fish tank-
heart on hand.
Accept your fate,
it becomes free will.
Eventually
you can see.
I'll show you-
a hundred crows cry over Broadway,
it's the most they'll ever be.
Keep talking-
it's alright they won't understand.
The man there, in the fish tank-
playing with the band.
So why don't you?
You're so simple.
You wear a sign-
it says beware.
The dance-
becomes tangled with our reactions,
and the only thing you do is care.
it's alright the ending's grand.
He drowns while in the fish tank,
unable to stand.
Author notes
hell yea i read this! truth.
This poem came from a discussion i had in my english class. We were talking about hypocricy and how the more you say things people dont understand, the more respect you get. Which i dissagreed with, so here you go, i wrote up some lyrics about it, the man in the fish tank being the guy who is full of himself, untill of course he is brought down, eventually sinking.
