i don't really care about your boyfriend
the one who you've known for 3 days
and i don't really care about you're homework
because you'll just end up copying from mine
please stop telling me you love me
when i see you dating other girls
and stop bitching to me when you're angry
because you could never be quite angry as me
i know that you're mom is bisexual
it isn't really that big a deal
and don't think i don't know how you feel
because you tell me every fucking day
if you want to stay friends, then call me
for more than to say your petty words
and let me talk for at least half an hour
because i fear i'll lose my voice listening to you
Author notes
this is about my old school friend, and some of the stuff in here may not make sense to you, but if you ask me i will explain it the best i can.

It does get annoying when you have a friend who's only function is to bitch. I usualy just give the occasional nod or a halfhearted "yup, that sucks." I particularly enjoyed the last line, "because i fear i'll lose my voice listening to you". It could be true on a couple diffenent levels. Well done and thanks for entering!

Great write for the contest! Very well done.
Those "one sided" friendships are tough, aren't they? When you are the one constantly listening to the other and never sharing your world...just listening and nodding! It can be frustrating but I think sometimes the other may not realize they are monopolizing the conversation?
You nailed that situation perfectly within your words.
Blessings! Tammy -
thanks, and yes, she is bisexual too. you see she thought that her mother being bi was a bad thing, until i explained about bisexuality. a week later, she asked me on a date.

I really like the honesty in this poem.
The girl's mum is bisexual, but is the girl bisexual too?? (you said boy friends then dating other girls)
I loved the ending:
"because i fear i'll lose my voice listening to you"
Keep on writing and good luck in the contest.
