A little girl falls,
And loses her way,
All because a man decided her fate.
Her fate was to be hurt,
And to be burned by trust.
She learned her lessons,
As she knew she must,
From man she can't even hate.
She grows into a woman,
Intelligent and beautiful,
But shy and alone,
As a girl who refuses to date.
As she grew,
She learned to fight,
Never trust,
And never elaborate.
She slowly trusts a man.
A good man,
Honest and true,
A man who challenged fate,
To give her,
Her first date.

I wish you success in this contest. The tale you tell may not be personal but drives home the point of the overwhelming love felt when a girl becomes a woman. Mr. Joe
