Fear

What do you do when you live with your fear?
Every day with the threat of something you can’t control,
Residing beneath your roof.

Rather the threat is inside,
Or within the walls.
It’s like a wild animal,
Calm until that moment,
Just before the strike.
Such strikes the hardest.

How do you live,
When you fear to relax?
For that moment could be,
The moment,
Of overwhelming.

This is a very good stanza in this poem. It is really good. I liked the flow of the poem and the words just struck out at me. Excellent work. kahy
