when you are sleeping
i will come to you
and just look
the face of an angel
i see as you sleep
without a care
at peace
and i will touch you
and gently kiss your eyes
and graze your lips
softly
with my finger tips
and i wonder
what beautiful dreams
solicit your mind
as you slumber
i wonder
if i am held in your mind
living this time
with you
in your hand
i feel the warmth of your life
all that i love
sleeps with you
so beautiful you are to me
beyond my belief
so i look
kneeling at your side
whispering your name
and hoping.. with all my heart
you are searching

An Ephiphany! This was an exquisite poem of

To adore a peaceful dreamer, to see what they are seeing. I once imagined a dream life I could share with another. And as I would begin to fall asleep...I would whisper their name over and over, wishing that they would hear and join me by and by. This is a fantasy I know, yet I felt it would be so pleasent to share a dream with a person I loved and trusted completely. The adventures would be new and exciting! But alas, I dream alone. And being an insomniac, not very ofetn!

I almost cry as I read my own words.
Each time I am taken back to that moment with her. Watching her sleep, lost in her dreams. Wishing so much to be more a part of her life. I could have not love her more.
From that thought, I went to the desk and made the words while they were still fresh feelings.
Later, I read them to her and we cried together. In a month she was gone from my life. I anguished for a time, then watched it fade away.
